Can check rubric for how you"ll be graded. Governance: ~2000 groups that had own ways of governing themselves, = self governance, sovereignty, self-determination. Language: all the different languages describe themselves as first people , french people call them the cree, but that"s not what they call themselves. Stories/oral traditions: stories of the land. Laws: the original instructions, the great law of peace, justice, sentencing circles. Have offender, victim and their families present. Food: all sorts of ducks/waterfowl, fish, women in charge of food, what to do with food, how to distribute it. Education: happens wherever you are, no matter what age you are, not separated out from rest of life. What were they looking for initially: gold, resources. Christians looking for fish because can"t eat meat on fridays.
