Myth a narrative, usually of the activities of supernatural beings, often telling of how some or all of the natural or social world was established. In addition to an explanation; of origins, it also provides a ;charter; or model for how humans should live today. Religion as a link between the ordinary and extraordinary (a link beyond reality/ link to the real) Religion as a link beyond culture (behaviours) Religion as a link beyond society (social relations with people/ social organization of relationships among people) The goal is not to judge or to establish truth or falsehood. Recognize the nature and role of a religion in its cultural and social context. Discover what religion might mean as a general characteristic of human society. To some extent, what is or is not religion is a matter of arbitrary definition. It may be that they very concept of religion is a modern, western one.
