The cranium is made out of 11 pairs (22 total) of bones and 5 individual bones. Not including mandible composed of 1 bone. The hyoid is the only bone in the body that does not articulate with another bone. The hyoid is composed of 3 bones. Usually count it as 1bone when counting towards the total 206 in the body. 12 thoracic vertebrae articulate with the ribs (12 ribs on each. 5 lumbar vertebrae largest and strongest side 24 total) Thumb is always on the side of the radius. Pinky is always on the side of the ulna. Anatomical position palm facing forward, thumb extended outwards, ulna and radius do not cross over. Pelvis is made of 3 bones 2 os coxa (hip bone) on both sides and a sacrum in the middle made up of 5-fused vertebra. Each os coxa is made up of 3 parts ilium (top), ischium (bottom) and the pubis.
