Owned by the government but they began transferring the land rights to another department of government. Vp of the park = david anselmi (landscape architect) instrumental in shaping the park and the competition. To think about: design preferences shaping the park later on. Self-financing through the selling of the land. (sold some of the land for private construction) Reports daily to parliament of canada to acquire borrowing money. First park in urban area managed by the government. First park managed by the feds that"s not a national park.
