(cid:862)(cid:271)a(cid:396)(cid:271)a(cid:396)ia(cid:374)(cid:863) The midst of all this warfare and the sacking of city of rome is what caused the fall. Beginning of the 5th century, the emperor moved the capital moved from rome to ravenna because rome was vulnerable to attack. Ravenna because a western capital in all this mess. Galla placidia married a barbarian king, transitional figure. After the romans and her people were conquered by theoderic, ostrogoth, barbarian leader took the city of ravenna.
