Fah264 art since 1900: land art, performance, appropriation, photo- Institutional piece, for international, 2 site specific pieces (banners) Monumental in size, horizontal orientation w/ alternating stripes. 1st banner hung inside the museum, while the 2nd was spread outside over the entrance of the museum blocking the entryway. The work was so huge it worked against the architecture, blocking spaces, & preventing audiences from entering into the building. The banner on the interior was so monumental in blocked the viewing of other minimalist artworks in the show. The other 16 participant showcased artist grew angry and petitioned to have burn"s piece removed from the museum show. Fighting for visibility, the museum as a vehicle that not only showcased artist work but also provided artist w/ fame & status. German artist who participated in moma poll show, interactive piece which engaged with audiences opinion/support of nelson rockefeller.
