For fun, rafid throws a tennis ball at 100km/hr. and hits a baseball at 150km/hr. , both in the direction of jane"s motion. Jane"s also has her engines off and she believes she is stationary. Jane thinks rafid is moving 100km/hr bc she thinks she is stationary. It depends on the frame of reference: you are on the ground looking at a plane flying at 900km/hr. The plane is completely made of glass so you can see everything that is going on inside. From the back of the plane, lien throws a ball towards the front and all passengers on the plane agree it travelled at a speed of 50km/hr. She then shines a flashlight towards the front to of the plane.
