Document Summary

Mutual interacions (where both paries beneit) in the tropics. In tropical forests, trees are evergreen, and because you have a dense canopy, wind is ineicient form of pollinaion. In tropical forests, rely more on animals for pollinaion. In the mutual relaionship between the ant and the acacia, the ants protect the plant from beetles when the beetles try to atack the plant. In return, the plant provides a home, protein, and sugar for the ants. With the devil"s garden plant, it hosts ants in its nest site. The water lily pads in the berlin garden are protected by pests, thus they look much beter and even fake. Epiphytes can build up insects and water in their bases, so when insects decompose, release nutrients for the epiphyte.
