Bio120 focuses on populations, as evolution occurs at this level. Microevolution: evolutionary mechanisms: determining ecological & genetic mechanisms responsible for evolution. 14/09/2016: studies natural selection, adaptation and speciation at the population level of a wide range of organisms, creates theoretical models that can be tested through fieldwork / labs, process orientated and experimental. Water hyacinth is an invasive plant species that can reproduce both sexually (flowers, minority) and asexually (clonal propagation, majority) Has three sexes (morphs), depending on length of middle style: short, medium, long. Originated from south america, but has since spread to mainly coastal areas in na, africa, asia, and australia. Short style is extremely dominant at origin, but is non-existent in the areas that it has invaded.
