Document Summary

Carnivorous frogs are able to predate on other frogs, specifically the greater the size then the larger the range of its predations. For example, bullfrogs, which tends to devastate the landscape because of its size. They are able to grab foods with their tongues, since they are called mechanical pullers. They are able to also grab food with their hands and stuff it into their mouths. Secondarily they are able leap and grab insects, having their tongue curled over their moths and do a lingual flip. The tongue comes out and smacks down on a mealworm and then roll back into their mouths. In salamanders reproduction is based on vision and odors, but for frogs the majority of courtships are based on sounds and calls. Males have a large vocal sacks and amplify sounds, females are able to identify their own species by species-specific calls. There are characteristics which indicate the frog is in good health.
