Became main factor in development of plot, don and katharine"s relationship, etc. Story depicted on screen and those which we infer as having occurred. The entire narrative of the film, incorporating both those events which are actually. All the events that occur, some having to be inferred by the viewer. The ordering and presentation of those events as they occur on film. What the filmmaker tells us of the story. Explicitly presented events + additional non-diegetic material. Characters serve as the primary causal agents. We feel angry when he"s angry, sad when he"s sad. Narrative time is governed by 3 variables : order, duration, frequency. These 3 variables often account for differences between plot and story. Narration is the process by which plot presents story information to the viewer.
