Reading allison whitney: she makes the assumption that we don"t spend enough time talking about sound and music in film, you can"t pause a film and literally point out the sound. Deep focus sound: sound is theoretical and harder to pinpoint, you can"t put sound far away from the screen it pulls the viewer out of the experience sound must function in an actual space.
