Document Summary
Evidently a relaivist: man is the measure of all things (from work truth: a man"s construcion of the world is what"s real, coninuity between sophists and pre-socraics, materialists. Skepical of tradiional religion: i have no means of knowing whether the gods exist or not, and if they do, what they are like . Supposedly taught students to make the weaker argument the stronger: you know what one is the just one but he taught you to exploit language/rhetoric in a way you can make the wrong thing more convincing. Taught persuasion which is value free: compares it to marial arts or ighing. The use of language value free pursuits, they"re skills like any other: like wielding a spear they don"t teach you right and wrong, they"re teaching a skill. I don"t teach my students right and wrong i teach them how to use language.
