Gender in antiquity: greece and rome are sex segregated society where men and females are divided. Cant be a proper male if you are not an aristocrat. If you are slave- like, then you are more feminine: women have fairly limited sphere of influence, but some cases this is not the case. Female only ritual practises, where women could become priestesses. Adult men that allow themselves to be penetrated are less than men. Assumption adult men are attracted to adult women and young boys > Not unusual; regular type of guy because expected to feel this way. Female homoeroticism is not commonly discussed (but callisto, iphis)
