Class of objects that ( we sense belong together) -> psychological component ( crutial component) Our ability to categorize, creates for a coexperience ( so things aren"t raw individual experiences. Extract relevant information and transfer previous knowledge to other things, sometimes this may mislead you to other things ex. Good inductive inference -> predictions of how someone will believe same categorize ex. How small kids view objects. ( listen to lect for more clarity) Categorization can allow you to override temptation to use a lot of visual similarities.
