Judas wolves: put trackers on wolves and bring them to the populations and able to kill more wolves that way. Environmental concern: wolf prey might increase in number and outcompete the caribou. Strong sentiment for the conservation of caribou is that wolves are not threatened so many animals killed because of traps they used to put out which is why they switched to aerial killing. The wolves are a symptom not a problem. Wolves demonized, seen as antagonists and those representations permeate our literature: ex. Boy who cried wolf and litte red riding hood: neglect their environmental impact, damage to cattle. Caribou: people do not know too much about caribou other than that they pull santa"s sleight. Why does one animal"s life have more value than another. Part of the symptom not the problem idea. Should they do the cull if they are not sure if it will work.
