Ezra performed a caesarian operation on the poem: changed the poem to he do the police in different voices , he takes out the narrative and lets the voices come through. It"s a poem about garbage, dead things, violence etc. The poem was regarded as the wreckage of capitalism. Eliot was a classicist in literature, royalist in politics and anglican. Bloom said that oedipal anxiety is when writers aspire to be like their role models, misread and kill the author. Eliot said you should find your own voice when you are in a dialogue with other voices. Sexual anxiety in this poem; just as it was present in prufrock. He believed that something could be gained from personal suffering and pain. Eliot used fragmentation in his poetry both to demonstrate the chaotic state of modern existence and to juxtapose literary texts against one another.
