It also separates our space from the sacred space in the image. Writes an artistic treatise, giving us instructions on how to use a perspective grid and also tells us how we should be thinking about pictures that use perspective. He says that we should think about pictures using perspective as being windows into another realm in most cases, the sacred realm.
