Federal government don"t support or discourage urban forest policies: just leave it to municipal government, but not having policies at federal level isn"t great. In general, we will be looking a municipal policies concerning urban forests. In general: public policy is anything a government chooses to do or not to do, policies provide direction for municipal operations. There are different types of policies: legislative. Prescribes penalties for not following policies: regulatory, organizational. Regulations/policies made to keep people from moving wood around.
