Something can be both primiive and exoic depending on the context, but yet the two meanings are not the same. This can correlate to primiive but not decidedly slow. Does not compare to modernity and is not evoluionary. Primiive: refers to the origin, and connotes simplicity. Archaic ways of life this concept is directly connected to progress. Whenever it is used, we think of it as progress. A group of people who are evaluated with rudimentary characterisics as a negaion of modernity. Primiive is everything that the west" is not.
