The new large cities provided many new opportunities for women as they had many more new opportunities for work. As the population grew, many cities grew as well because those people needed places to live. There were many new advancements in the big cities to accommodate for the great increase in the population: mass access to transportation and communication. He was credited with the title doctor of positivism . He believed that scienti c discovery had passed through 3 stages of development: He concluded that what he called the science of society could be the same.
