Document Summary

It"s a money economy for different groups of people. It"s hard to apply capitalism a 19th century term to 14-15th century. Overwhelming period of cash and money society. Nobles needed more money because they were paying more. Military service was more expensive for them. Urban areas were more money economy, there was trade and swap economy. Protestant work ethic and capitalism is a newer economic data. Banking and credit it wasnt new but it was niche prior to the period. There is no renaissance if there wasn"t spare money. There was always trade such as the silk roads. (fur, slaves, spices, silk, wool) The technological innovation wasn"t for the agriculture, it was for a seasonal crop rotation, better planting (late 17th early 18th) Fairly efficient agriculture system around since 12 century. After the black death 3 field system was made popular. Because of weather and the deaths more fields were available.
