Inductive reasoning: dependent on observation, we reason because we see repetitive instances we"ve seen it again and again (no counter examples) Universality of physical laws if it applies in a certain way here, it also applies that way all over (the same everywhere in the universe) 2 things they are seeking cover from: very extreme religious conflict and political disturbance they want to get away from religion and politics. Didn"t want to be attacked by them (didn"t want them to play into what they were doing in those clubs) Science is progressing more popular enthusiasm about them.
