On the other hand the discovery driven approaches are hypothesis-free. They find investec and analyze data to provide a more holistic point of view. Biological system can only be fully understood if we incorporate both ! But acquisition of information allows us to work together to produce a phenotype and use thiese information for treatment. Majority of diseases are complex, depends on number of different genes, different environmental exposure. Systems biology: study of whole biological system, rather than individual parts. We are incorporating all of them as part of the systems medicine approach. Molecular phenome: underlying molecular support, methylation, dna etc. Clinical phenome: different clinical metrics which should be approached in a multidimensional fashion.
