All Italian nouns have gender, even if they refer to objectsthey are either
masculine or feminine.
Nouns that refer to males are usually masculine, and those that refer to females
are usually feminine (exception persona is feminine, but can refer to either
male or females).

part of the ending will usually indicate that it is masculine.
