Plato"s ideas: objects of perception are real insofar as they participate in immutable essences, ideas, logical forms, the universe consists of 2 things: Plotinus, (205ad- 270ad: combined platonism and aristotelianism, universe = hierarchy of forms, supreme form = the one, beauty = visible expression of essences.
