1) Social Structures = powerful ruler (nobility) & ppl who ought to
follow the ruler/rules; kingship/emperorship)
-> PLASTIC? The structures change!
Ex) Spordam : whole society was run as an army
Ex) let everyone play as ruling! (everyone can propose
legislation, vote, speak on- the law.)
Because of this,
• Arts of persuasion (is a valuable skill -> reputation, etc.)
(within democracy, X monarchy )
2) Athens became Leaders of military pact that won important
wars -> Leading power in 5th century!

Can you teach virtue?
Oracle: Is Socrates the wisest man alive?
There is no one wiser than Socrates. ->? no way!

➔ Craftsman? Partially knowledgable.
