Relativism is not just the claim that peoples beliefs about morality differ. Values that people accept or believe in are different. There are clear disagreements about what is right or wrong. There are no universal moral principles, instead values or moral truths are all only relative to an individual or culture. Claim is not that people disagree, morality itself differs as well, what is right or wrong can be different between cultures and people. What is right in canada, is different from what is right in afghanistan. 1. different societies have different moral codes, fact of moral disagreement, observation that people disagree. 2-5-goes beyond the mere claim that there are differences, right and wrong are relative to a culture. 6-conclusion about what we ought to do, we ought to be tolerant. Cultural relativism-what is right and wrong in a culture depends on what that culture thinks is right and wrong.
