Samsara implies that one continues to su er through the cycle. Nding the way out of samsara, the cycle of living and dying, rather than seeking the temporary comfort and pleasures of life. At the time of buddha, karma and reincarnation was a fact of life. As a result, the future within samsara way seemed dark. Buddhist strive to become one with everything by denying ego and self. The belief in reincarnation is essential for the practice of buddhism. One who does not believe in it will nd no reason in buddhism and meditation, which is a way to cultivate the mind. Faith is the belief of things that are not based on anything.
