Polyarchy - citizenship - people are given the power. Candidates must be able to compete for vote. Democracy has been able to reject traditional forms of order. Everyone has a say - we all have the ability to participate. All of the decisions made are made by everyone: Liberty - we all have freedoms, expressed as rights - we have the right to disagree. The political sphere - we are all politically equal. Ex: everyone has one vote - rich or poor, man or woman.
