The charges against socrates: socrates was charged/accused with not believing the gods of the city and of introducing new gods. It is like an insurance premium to do good: cephalus said that justice is a burden that is performed only under duress, without the gods, justice would make no sense. Justice during peacetime: discussion between polemarchus and socrates, polemarchus says that justice during peacetime is honesty is one"s dealings with others and especially in business. It is in the form of contracts and partnerships: polemarchus come from a family of business men and is cephalus"s son.
