1.Rejection of US model
2.Elections produce few tangible benefits- most peoples voices arent heard, elections
havent benefited their daily lives
3.Decentralization- promoted by World Bank, a key condition of democratication,
moving the space of decision making down to local level
Moving decision making and budgeting away from the centre
1.Participatory democracy is EMPOWERING democracy is in the streets.
2.Participatory democracy could be TRANSFORMATIVE political equality is
promised in democracy but it never leads to economic growth, this sort might lead to
better results
