Inter group conflict 1 type is ethnic group conflict. ~some conflicts are relatively peaceful, others are bloody. ~some ethnic groups get along, others do not. ~some ethnic groups cooperate for long periods and then experience conflict. How can we explain carrying patterns of ethnic cooperation/ conflict over space and time? (or vice versa) Some groups who have a deep hate w each other makes it difficult to explain why sometimes they get along w each other. Reading from last week they look at 2 more ethnic groups that live in the same area. Count each year that they interacted w each other, and see how many times they were in conflict w each other. How many places we should have seen conflict, and places we actually saw ethnic conflict. Conflict isn"t (it doesn"t happen a should see conflict more, which we don"t so that cannot explain it lot)
