The essay is not a traditional research paper. Myth: what is established and not defied as possibly false. Apartheid was perfectly acceptable and the norm at the beginning of the 20th century. By 1980(cid:129)fs, they became unacceptable, therefore foreign policies changed. Feminism: feminism doesn(cid:129)ft provide us with a framework to study ir, it is not unified. It provides us with a critique of the dominant approaches and some questions. Essentialism: is the claim that women are fundamentally different in their perceptions from their male counterparts (women are from venus?). Essentialists say there are many differences in the way both sexes perceive the world. Liberals tend to argue for the greater inclusion of women in ir and politics, as a mean of humanizing politics in both national and international levels.
