Document Summary

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. We assume that a person acts the way they do because of certain conditions, perhaps because of the way they grew up. We assume humans are deterministic, but we also think that humans are free. The course can be a drag, mostly because of the amount if reading. However, no matter how accessible the reasons are (how easy it is for you to know your reasons for doing something), the kind of reasons are really important. You either have an extrinsic or intrinsic reason. The best way to learn is to be passionate. This is why intrinsic goals tend to lead many to success. Extrinsic reasons for attending this class can make it be a drag. The more extrinsic the reason, the harder it is to sustain the motivation.
