Document Summary

Controls the spinal cord and the brain. Communicate with other neurons through chemical signal. How it makes decisions to do something and communicate with each other with neurotransmitters. Have to do with motor skills and motor movements. Neurons that connect motor and sensory neurons together. Hyperpolarize cells and make it more negative than it already is. The neural impulse passes along the axon and subsequently causes the release of chemicals from the terminal buttons. The inside of the cell is more negative that the outside. Relatively more sodium outside and more potassium inside. If the neurons reaches its excitatory threshold, it was fully depolarize. At the peak of the action potential sodium channels will close and potassium. Then everything closes up and the cell returns to its normal resting state. Chemical substances that carry signals from one neuron ti another. Store in the vesicles which are small packages inside the terminal buttons.
