Document Summary
A big revolution happened in psych about 30 years ago that was in sync with the computer. As we started to get a better idea of human bio, we got a better understanding of abstract things (thought, perception) can more easily be understood. This is thinking of all our thoughts and ideas at the neurotransmitter level, from neuron to neuron. What types of brain structures are involved, and how do different parts of the brain work together. The drugs are addictive because they effect the neuroanatomical and physiological structures, making them want the drug. Social is that we are in relationships together, someone just insulted you, its all the influences that are passed between people. Our biology is embedded in a network of social relationships, our social interactions program our biology.
