Emotions encourage different behaviours > when afraid, we may freeze, hide, or run; not very specific to what we do. Hypothalamus essential to maintain homeostasis > connects nervous system with endocrine system. Different regions important for different aspects of hunger. Ventromedial region no longer to work properly, leads to excessive eating.
