Motivation can be used as a tool to get people to do things. Goals play a huge part in motivation. Top-down processes (meaning, interpretation) play a huge role in how our motivational systems work. Set a goal for yourself something you would like to accomplish over the school year: my goal: 3. 5 gpa in all courses. Find out what you love to do and find a way to get paid for it. Intrinsic motivation is self-directed and self-sustaining leads to greater success. Asking these questions helps you become more aware of deeper meanings of the goal.
