Learning theory, social learning theory, social cognitive learning theory. I have tons of motivation but i take all this energy and do something else with it even when things are important, things i like. Whatever strategies you"re trying to do now, if it isn"t working it won"t work 20 years from now. If didn"t take this course, probably will form positive intentions, set goals and build up will power to do task. But only have partial successes and same procrastination happens. They next time around, i am even worse off than before because i have the same motivation but also have the knowledge that i failed last time. So when want to do work, internalized dysfunctions (failures, wanting to do better, guilt etc. ) get aroused. They took psychoanalysis and behaviourism and put them together, provided an integration of external skinner behaviourist and internal freud psychoanalysis. Sor emphasis on organism, if i want to change response/behaviour, i can change the organism.
