Causes of psychopathy: psychopathy, crime, sexual deviance, homicidal triad, anger excitation rapist, types of murderers and killers. There is a wide variation, but they all show: Selfish orientation and profound emotional deficit --> really don"t care about you. This is a lot of personality traits clustered together --> more than just one diagnosis from the dsm. More rigid in their thinking and their representation. You might meet many and they will have differences between them. No hesitation in cutting ties with those who do not benefit them. About 0. 6% of population meets criteria and correlates with: Being male, violent behaviour, incarceration, drug use, dsm personality disorders. There are young and female psychopaths too, but they also present a bit differently. Female psychopaths, even though they don"t present in the same way, are still worse than the normal population like male psychopaths. You can have a spectrum of psychopaths from those with tendencies to sub-clinical to clinical.
