Stereotype: piece of info associating a social with a social category. Prejudice: anger, hatred, suspicion against a social category. Another experiment where priming elderly stereotype or neutral. They think the experiment is over and they leave. The real experiment was to see how fast they walk towards the elevator. Activating a stereotype will subtly change their behaviour. Trying to activate the stereotype of black vs white subliminally. 130 trials later there is a failure saving data and the researcher has to start again. Blind coder so they don"t know what condition the subject was in. People in the black face condition were a little more hostile. An example of a cognitive schema: an organised system of knowledge that guides information processing.
