Lecture 4 Slide 3  Stereotype is the cognitive (traits and attributes). Slide 5  The more mental processes you do, the more automatic it becomes. Slide 13  The more you look like a man or women, the more people expect you to act masculine or feminine. Slide 24  People used social roles to make assumptions about these people. Slide 39  Competence means respect and warmth means liking so men are respected and women are liked. Slide 42  When people are given a list they know they have to classify it so they will forcefully do it.  If you ask people to say 10 traits then you can see whether there is communality of how people think.
