WE mistake reality for its “parts” =veil, separate objects are all connected Shankara 3 levels of reality but only one reality; ONE or rope snake.. or NOT REAL (eg son of barren woman) Bhakti; devotion-> specific god deity, “worship” “sharing of oneself” “surrender myself” - >submission to the divine on my own I am subject to temptation ; LOVE =loosening of identity -> absolute devotion; focused mind- easier way to practice self denial Yoga; “path”; posture- to change my mind or perception is the point.
