Tiny remains are left on the second temple after the Romans destroyed it Western wall.
Jews are exiled from Judea and this time now allowed to reenter. Don’t recover control
of their land for 1900 years.
Religious practice used to be structured around sacred space and after distraction; Jews
are expelled from this area and only allowed in once a year to grieve the loss of their holy
place. The bulk of the Jewish community has been exiled and you see a wide dispersal of
the ruminants of the Jewish community. This goes to create historically tremendous
diversity in the Jewish tradition and yields two major types of Judaism.
The communities who go in the direction of Europe are called the Ashkenazim speak a
blend of Hebrew, German, and Yiddish One cultural strand that heads off in the East
absorbs more of the cultural elements of the Mediterranean and the area of Spain, those
people are called Sephardim and they speak Ladino which is a bland of Latin.
The primary language is used by Jews in this language are Aramaic/ Greek. The first big
challndge is how to maintain the religion and avoid losing the religion all together big in

Pharisees Very polite nut represent the Skribs and lower classes of Jewish society they
take up the leadership of the community and evolve a style of Jewish practice to go on in

reconciliation with God. These sort of means are prepped primarily through acts of loving
kindness and through ethics and through bias observants. What happens here is instead of
being externally focused, moving forward, bringing mindfulness to every act of our
existence to bring a mindfulness of God and gods will to every aspect of our living
they become sacralized. This increasing interiorization it manifests itself is the tradition really moves into the HOME. The home becomes the temple and home life comes to be
seen as a experession of piraty how we live and the observant of the Sabbath. Life now
revolves around the home. Festivals and rituals celebrated within the home, communial
worship developed synegogues and scriptures. You have sacred scripture and that you can
