Tech allows large groups(governments) to have more power. Easier to track ppl who dissent from the governments views. Givs easily control access to info by controlling internet access. Loss of privacy due to so many cells and video cams which promotes government control. Social networking tools enable gathering groups of pppl to connect and exchange ideas.
