Body not only site and tool fo desire, but also object of desire. Site of self that can be judged on display. Deviations from common expectations causes reflections and reactions. Shape of body, its dress, and its movement = messages to others. Enhancement of one"s body important among today"s people because: Socially, urbanized societies present more opportunities to network. Economically, people can afford tech to transform their bodies.
