Additionally, they produce and partly socialize children families have less control over the socialization of their children than back then. The revenue-raising productive work in society, and much of the socialization goes on outside of families. Many of the kinds of activities that families used to perform have been taken over by non-family or organizations in return for cash (childcare, cooking, etc)
