No true pure adversarial system or islamic system, in reality legal systems are mixed and lean towards one way. The prosecution examines them, and then the defense lawyer gets to cross-examine the witness after this the prosecution can re-examine the witness (several days) Only evidence of (cid:494)fact(cid:495) (no hearsay) is allowed: nothing you though you heard or something you thought, only facts of the case.
