Usually brings together (in their original form) information about a work"s author, title, printer, publisher, and place and date of publication. If it"s done correctly, it can be useful to bibliographers because they can find different editions within the seemingly similar editions. Text of the title page should be copied in full, including information about ornaments. Line endings are marked by single vertical strokes : i. There are 3 fonts that are distinguished: roman, italic and gothic (i. e. blackletter) Changes in font size between lines are not indicated. Changes of large and small capitals within lines are. If your title is printed in more than one colour, a key in brackets indicting the title"s colours should introduce your transcription. Rule (lines on the page) or other illustrations should be described in square brackets.
